To become a BuukRide driver in Nigeria, you must meet the following requirements:
Valid Driver’s License – You must have a valid Nigerian Driver’s License issued by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). Temporary licenses and those issued in other Nigerian states are also acceptable.
Minimum Age Requirement – You must be at least 25 years old to drive on the BuukRide platform.
Clean Driving Record – You must have a good driving history with no major traffic violations. Additionally, your vehicle must be insured under a recognized auto insurance policy.
Background Check Consent – You agree to undergo a security screening and background verification, which includes a check by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other relevant authorities.
Smartphone Requirement – You must own an Android or iPhone capable of downloading and running the BuukRide Driver app to accept ride requests and manage trips.
To qualify for BuukRide, your vehicle must meet the following standards:
Model Year – Your car must be a 2008 model or newer (year requirements may vary by state or region).
Vehicle Type – The car must be a 4-door sedan, SUV, or minivan to accommodate passengers comfortably.
Seating Capacity – The vehicle must have 5 to 8 seats, including the driver’s seat.
License Plate – Your vehicle must have valid Nigerian registration plates and roadworthiness certification.
Condition – The car must be in good mechanical condition, with fully functional brakes, lights, and air conditioning.
To complete your BuukRide driver application, you must provide the following documents:
Driver Profile Photo – A clear, recent photo of yourself that will be displayed on your BuukRide driver profile.
Vehicle Registration – A valid Nigerian vehicle registration document confirming legal ownership and use.
Personal Vehicle Insurance – Proof of valid auto insurance covering the vehicle for commercial or ride-hailing purposes.
Vehicle Inspection Certificate – A roadworthiness certificate issued by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) or other relevant Nigerian authorities.
